Match fixtures and start times are released prior to the beginning of each season.

Teams may submit preferred time slots where possible; however, this cannot always be guaranteed. Once the season begins, match times are fixed and cannot be changed.

Matches consist of two 21-minute halves.

Games will proceed in all weather conditions unless Extreme Football determines conditions to be unsafe. The Extreme Football pitch is an all-weather surface and is not affected by rain.

Match Fee:
$80 per team per match

Registration Fee:
$80 per team per season

Registration must be paid before the first match of the season. Match fees must be paid before the commencement of each game.

Payment can be made via cash, credit card or bank transfer.

Teams will not be permitted onto the pitch if match fees have not been paid.

Rules

Extreme Football is a fast-paced 5-a-side format played with 4 outfield players and 1 goalkeeper. The game emphasizes continuous play, quick transitions and minimal stoppages.

Key rules include:

• No offsides
• Play continues off the boards – there are no outs
• Heading is not permitted
• No slide tackles or tackling from behind
• Direct free kicks awarded for fouls
• Unlimited substitutions (except during the final minute of the first half and last three minutes of the second half)

Teams accumulate contact fouls, with a penalty kick awarded once a team reaches five fouls in a half.

Players must follow referee decisions at all times and maintain respectful conduct towards referees, opponents and venue staff.

Teams are required to wear matching primary coloured shirts. If a colour clash occurs, bibs will be provided by the venue manager.

Player Equipment Guidelines

• Closed footwear must be worn at all times
• Boots are permitted (no metal studs or blades)
• Futsal shoes and runners are allowed
• Shin pads are recommended but not compulsory
• All jewellery must be removed before play (wedding rings may be taped)

All equipment decisions are subject to the referee’s discretion.
